Cancellation and Refund Policy

This Cancellation and Refund Policy contains the terms and conditions for cancellations, refunds, and service modifications for services booked on TaxFyling.com.

1. One-Time Service Cancellations

1.1 Cancellations Before Work Begins

If you cancel a service booking before our team begins work on your service:

  • Within 24 hours of payment: You are eligible for a full refund (100%) of the service fee.
  • After 24 hours but within 7 days of payment: You are eligible for a partial refund of 80% of the service fee.
  • After 7 days but before work begins: You are eligible for a partial refund of 50% of the service fee.

1.2 Cancellations After Work Begins

If you cancel a service after our team has begun work on your service:

  • Less than 25% completion: You may be eligible for a partial refund of up to 50% of the service fee, based on the amount of work completed.
  • 25-50% completion: You may be eligible for a partial refund of up to 25% of the service fee.
  • More than 50% completion: No refund will be issued.

2. Subscription Service Cancellations

2.1 Accounting Subscription Plans

For our monthly and annual accounting subscription plans:

  • Monthly Subscriptions: You may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period. No prorated refund is provided for partial months.
  • Annual Subscriptions: If you cancel an annual subscription, you may be eligible for a prorated refund for unused months, less a 15% administrative fee.
  • Free Trial Periods: No refund is provided for cancellations during free trial periods.
  • Plan Downgrades: When downgrading to a lower-priced plan, changes will take effect at the next billing cycle.

3. Refund Process

All refund requests must be submitted in writing:

  • By emailing our customer service team at refunds@taxfyling.com
  • By submitting a request through your account dashboard
  • By contacting our support team through the chat feature on our website

3.1 Refund Processing Time

Once a refund request is approved:

  • Credit/debit card refunds typically process within 5-10 business days.
  • Bank transfers may take 7-14 business days to reflect in your account.
  • Electronic wallet refunds usually process within 3-5 business days.
  • Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

4. Non-Refundable Services

The following services are non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Completed tax filings submitted to tax authorities
  • Delivered customized reports
  • Emergency or expedited services that have been initiated
  • Any service explicitly marked as "non-refundable" at the time of purchase
  • Services where the work product has been fully delivered to the client

5. Service Modifications

Requests to modify purchased services:

  • Service modifications must be requested within 7 days of purchase
  • Upgrades to higher-tier services will require payment of the price difference
  • Downgrades to lower-tier services may be eligible for partial refunds as per our refund policy
  • Service date rescheduling must be requested at least 48 hours in advance

6. Force Majeure

Refunds for cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control:

  • In cases of natural disasters, emergency situations, or other force majeure events
  • We will work with clients to reschedule services at no additional cost
  • If rescheduling is not possible, we will issue full refunds regardless of timing
